What is blogging? 5 reasons why people start blogging?

Spread the love

Blogging is the online journal where people mainly write blogs either for just sharing their own feelings or turning it into a source of income for themselves.

For me, blogging is both. I do blogging to make a profit out of it as well as sharing my own feelings through it.

This is probably the first time that I’m telling you that I have blogs about two other niches one is tech and the other one is a finance blog.

The point of telling you this is to motivate you to start a blogging website for yourself.

Starting a blogging website can turn into a life-changing thing for you as it happened with me.

There was a time way back in 2016 when I was facing a big financial crisis as my father was hospitalized for a health issue and I was in a 12 standard and unlike other school-going boys, I was actually felt worthless because not been able to support my family financially.

Thankfully, I got advice from one of my friends and told my hey dude why don’t you try blogging since you are so good at writing and explaining things.

I was like oh god! i think you just saved me and gave me a new birth to make my life better not for just myself but also for my family. I then launched my first blogging site in September 2016 and another one in 2017. But this one I have started in January 2021.

Again, as I have said before, the point of telling you all this is just to make you feel motivated so you can also be an independent person financially.

Now, let’s discuss why people start blogging and why you should also create a website for yourself and monetize it with the help of either Google Adsense or affiliate marketing.

Reasons Why People Start Blogging?

Blogging for sharing your own feeling

Some people just blog for the sake of sharing their own feeling. This can be anything from sharing their own day-to-day life like what has the day was like for him or her.

These types of Bloggers explain things well from a personal point of view of how things had gone for the day.

Their main motive is not just to make an income source out of it, they do it just to share their own feelings or thoughts whatever you wanna call it.

Blogging for sharing expertise

There are also people who want to share their expertise on some particular subject or topic with other people so they can be educated.

This is a very good thing especially for teachers or experienced adults who want to do teach something to others by blogging.

For example, an English teacher can teach online about English in front of limitless students from all over the world through blogging. Since video can be attached to blog things can be pretty easy for people to learn things visually too and so for them to make a living for themselves.

What you say! If you have any knowledge on anything you should not waste your time on other things rather jump straight into blogging so you can be a teacher for other people to help them learn on things that you have expertise in.

Blogging as sidehustle

Blogging can also be done to support your main and active income source.

People who are falls in these types of category start blogging either for raising funds to start a new business or to support an existing one.

Not just that, students or working professionals also fall into these categories. For example, a student can start blogging as a side-hustle while continuing study. The same goes for working professional who wants to support the main source of income.

Blogging for improving writing

Blogging can be started for improving the writing style and this is a great thing to do.

As there are quote “practice makes things perfect” is I think is really made for this especially for those beginners content writers, bloggers, or for students.

Blogging for portfolio

Blogging is also done by people who are content writers or bloggers like me and you.

People have their own portfolio for showcasing their own writing style to potential clients or recruiters online to start freelancing work.

Final Words

These are some of the reasons why people start blogging? Sure there can be many other reasons for example making money from it (blogging) or making blogging sequences so later on can be customizable those blog posts for making a book later on, which I haven’t mentioned these points through points.

Let me know in the comments what do you think about blogging and if you’re planning to launch a site for blogging to make money out of it.

Thank you for reading this post to the end.
